About
Thoughtful Design. Experienced Perspective.
Amanda Davis is a Portland, Oregon interior designer, educator, and artist whose work brings together creativity, technical knowledge, and a deep understanding of how people experience space.
Her approach to residential interior design goes beyond finishes and furnishings. Amanda considers how a home functions as a whole, from space planning and circulation to materials, lighting, architectural details, and opportunities to reimagine existing spaces through remodeling and renovation.
A Career Built Around Design
Amanda earned her Master of Interior Architecture from the University of Oregon and began her professional interior design career working with notable architectural and design firms, including Gensler and Gertler Wente Architects.
Her career later expanded into design education. Amanda became Department Chair of the Interior Design program at Portland Community College, where she helped develop the program into a nationally recognized professional course of study.
Throughout her career, Amanda has remained connected to professional practice, designing interiors and building long-standing relationships with architects, builders, contractors, suppliers, and vendors throughout the industry.
Experience That Goes Beyond Interiors
Amanda is an NCIDQ Certified Interior Designer and a member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA). She also maintains an Oregon residential real estate license, giving her an additional perspective on home remodeling, renovation, and the long-term value thoughtful design can bring to a property.
For her clients, that breadth of experience means looking beyond how a room appears today and considering how a home can function, feel, and evolve.
An Artist’s Eye
Amanda is also an avid painter whose creative practice is influenced by architectural history and the natural world. From historic homes and architectural details to the forests and landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, her surroundings continually inform how she thinks about color, composition, proportion, and place.
Based in West Linn and serving homeowners throughout the greater Portland area, Amanda approaches every interior design and remodeling project as a collaboration, bringing professional expertise and creative curiosity together to create spaces that feel considered, functional, and distinctly personal.
